What is “hospitality”?
Think of a hospital. What do the Doctors and Nurses do at the hospital? They care for the people that are visiting. When we think of the word “hospitality” we can remember we are the Doctors of our home, or others homes when we are visiting.
In week 2 of teaching the art of hospitality we will be focusing on the beginning of meal planing. We will start with the basics of the food pyramid and understanding a balanced diet.

- Have the kids choose their favorite meal and either draw pictures into the correct section or find images from a magazine and glue onto the plate.
Fruits: 2-4 servings per day
Vegetables: 3-5 servings a day
Grains: Bread, Cereal, Rice, Pasta 6-11 servings a day
Protein: Meats, Poultry, Beans, Nuts, Eggs, Fish 2-3 servings per day
